A friend hit black ice last night (very early this morning) on the entrance ramp to 104 east off of Bay Rd. There was nothing that she could do and ended up putting her vehicle on it's side off the right side of the ramp. All of the rescue crews and officers from the Webster PD did an excellent job extricating our very scared young friend out of her vehicle and also of keeping us abreast of what was going on during the rescue. After a visit to the hospital she was released early this morning . So the good word this morning goes out to the professionals that we have in our community for a job well done. And a word of warning... the snow is melting during the day, but as soon as the sun goes down the freezing process begins again. In this case the inside lane was all black ice at that location.
