WebsterNY.com was born in 1999 when I felt the community could benefit from a directory of Webster-related web sites. I had found that there were plenty of sites in existence, especially those belonging to town departments, but no organization of any kind. I thought it would be much easier to remember one name when it came time to look for information on the web relating to Webster. I've spent hours scouring the web for sites relating to or owned by Webster groups, agencies, businesses, etc. I'm sure there are plenty I've missed. Please send me any links you feel should be included.

I would also like to offer Webster businesses the opportunity to advertise online. There are various ways to advertise:

• A free link to your existing web site on our Businesses page.
• A page of your own off of WebsterNY.com, such as this one.
• Your own full web site developed by our staff.
• Banner advertising on any of the pages of this site

We are dedicated to bringing more local traffic to this site. Since we've added the free online classifieds in March 2001 and the free online community calendar in April 2001, the number of visitors to our site has nearly quadrupled. We are considering other features for the future, such as free WebsterNY.com e-mail addresses, a chat room, online recipe and home-for-sale databases, and more! Come join us as we grow!
